Mix & Match New Construction Home Plans & Active Real Estate Listings

With Housing Inventory at an All Time Low, New Platform Brings Unprecedented Choice to Home Buyers

MARCH 26, 2021

Startup homebuilding platform LotNova announced the availability of a new real estate search engine designed to make purchasing new construction easier than ever before. LotNova, the world’s first matching engine between real estate listings and new construction home plans, provides homebuyers with unprecedented choices for new construction in the communities they want to live in.

Buyers can start with either the city they want to move to or a home plan they like, quickly identify matching listings, and get package pricing for a fully specified new construction home including the lot.

Local Focus, Ambitious Plans.
“We’re starting out in Chicago, but envision our platform as a tool that enables buyers nationwide to explore new construction options, and in high demand areas where traditional large volume builders don’t have offerings due to land constraints,” said David Munaretto, Founder of LotNova. The platform was a ground up reimagining of the homebuilding process starting with how a prospective homebuyer or their agent explores new construction options.

“By offering more choices, better value, and superior quality, we’re able to drive down new construction pricing in areas traditionally only served by custom builders. This in turn increases the overall size of the buyer pool in these markets and improves housing affordability.”

9 out of 10 Consider New Construction (Very Few Buy)
According to a recently published study by Zillow, 89% of all homebuyers had some interest in exploring new construction housing options in 2020. But of the nearly 5.9 million single family real estate sales in 2020, less than 14% of all single-family home sales were new construction.

By offering new construction in better locations, with a wider variety of available home plans, and a better price point, LotNova is geared towards helping a larger percentage of homebuyers purchase new construction homes. “We’re really focused on taking all of the risk out of building your own home. From the very process of purchasing the land through the completion of the home, we’ve created a painless process for the homebuyer,” said Munaretto who spent years building custom spec homes throughout Chicagoland.
