For over 20 years, I have worked in Lake County real estate along the North Shore helping clients and corporate relocation buy, sell, stage and improve their homes. Much of my work with Sellers is during the weeks and months; prior to the first showing. In addition to reviewing comparable home sales history, I help clients see their home from a buyers’ point of view. I am fairly hands-on as we rearrange furniture and accessorize often without spending money. The “before and after” photos are amazing. I also advise on what items to store or toss, and refer contacts for repairs, painting, carpeting and house cleaning. Depending on how long a seller has lived in a home, several visits may be made and the “to do” list is re-prioritized.

My goal with Buyers has always been to make a “Smart Buy”. To find a home with a good location that needs little work but offers the best resale. Over the last few years, my transferees with Abbott Labs, Kraft Heinz, AbbVie or Hospira have been even quicker to make improvements and repairs, sometimes before they move in, so they can enjoy the changes sooner.
